The Golden Circle Gala is Learning Circle Academy’s premier fundraising organized by parents in the spring of each year. Funds raised by the Gala are used to supplement LCA’s general operating budget to help bridge the gap between tuition and LCA’s actual operating cost per student. Funding is also used for scholarships, special programs and instructional materials.
The 2007-2008 3rd Annual Golden Circle Gala was held on March 15th, 2008 at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan. The evening’s theme was “ A Circle of Light, Creating Educational Excellence for Students with Special Needs”. Over 180 guests attended the semi-formal event. Guests enjoyed hors’ oeuvres and cocktails as they browsed through hundreds of interesting silent auction items. Auction items included signed sports memorabilia, jewelry, spa packages, handmade arts and crafts, gift baskets made by LCA students and parents, electronic items and much more. After dinner, guests listened to presentations from principal, Amy Seidman, a Feuerstein program representative, and LCA teaching staff and volunteers. Howard Morris also presented a “work in process film made by students. Howard’s national award winning LCA video was also presented throughout the evening.
The event was a great success! The students, parents, directors and staff of Learning Circle Academy sincerely appreciate the generosity and support demonstrated by our families, friends and community members this year. Your continued support is critical to our success. Thank you!
