Adam

picture of AdamWe struggled through some very difficult years with our son Adam in our local public school. Last year was especially difficult. It was a year filled with many situations in the classroom that were not handled in a constructive manner. As a result, Adam made very little progress academically or socially. It was very obvious to us that he needed a different program more tailored to his specific learning disabilities.

In August 2004, we were fortunate enough to have heard about Learning Circle Academy. As we learned more about what they were planning to do, we became convinced that it was just what Adam needed. Learning Circle Academy was offering the right balance of individual and group instruction, along with physical and social activities, and a staff dedicated to helping each student succeed.

Since Adam has been a Learning Circle Academy student, we have seen significant academic accomplishments. Within the first few months we began to see huge strides in language, reading and math. Within this short period of time, he had surpassed what he had learned in his old school. It is very obvious to us that Learning Circle Academy’s program and teaching methods have made all the difference in the world, and this is certainly what is making Adam succeed. If Adam has a problem, we are not made to feel that it is somehow our fault. We discuss what happened, and a course of action is laid out, including what we can do at home. This is very different than what we experienced in our local public school.

The Learning Circle Academy staff and parents work together to make the learning experience a priority for all of the students. There is a genuine concern for every child, as if they are all members of the same family. We are very happy with our decision to have Adam attend Learning Circle Academy, and we look forward to his continued success.
